1. Who we are
Mini Skid Match is an independent equipment research and comparison service. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Mini Skid Match” refer to the operator of miniskidmatch.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
If you send an enquiry, we collect the name, email address, country or market, topic, message, and any model or brand attached to that enquiry.
Matcher and preference information
Your finder answers, shortlist and market setting are stored in your browser. A share link can contain finder answers and the selected market. Do not share that link if you do not want another person to see those answers.
Website feedback
If you use the feedback form, we store your visitor type, country, device, areas used, ratings and written observations. Name, email and organisation are optional. Saved matcher answers are included only when the form detects them and you leave the inclusion box selected. We store a one-way hash of the submitting network address for short-term spam prevention, not the full address. Feedback is available only to authorised Mini Skid Match administrators.
Dealer location searches
Coordinates are requested only after you press “Use my location”. They remain in the active browser session. If you open a map or dealer search, the destination provider receives the search you chose to open under its own privacy terms.
Anonymous aggregate analytics
We count a small set of site events, such as a page view, beginning or completing the matcher, opening the catalogue, and sending an enquiry. The Mini Skid Match analytics file stores daily aggregate counts only. It does not store names, email addresses, full IP addresses, advertising identifiers or a visitor profile, and it does not set an analytics cookie. The hosting provider may separately keep normal security and access logs.
3. Why we use information
- To respond to enquiries and requested assistance.
- To route a model enquiry to an appropriate manufacturer or dealer when you ask us to do so.
- To review feedback, correct catalogue information and improve the matcher.
- To understand which site functions are used, using aggregate counts.
- To protect the website against spam, abuse and security incidents.
4. Sharing and overseas handling
We do not sell personal information. We may share an enquiry with a dealer, manufacturer or service provider only when that is necessary to answer your request or you ask us to make an introduction. Website hosting and email providers may process information in countries outside your own. Any external dealer, manufacturer, map, marketplace, forum or video service you open applies its own privacy terms.
5. Retention and security
We keep enquiries and feedback only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, improve the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information associated with an enquiry or feedback response, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. You can clear saved matcher answers using the website’s clear or reset controls, or by clearing site data in your browser.
7. Children
The service is intended for adults researching machinery. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.
8. Complaints and contact
Email contact@miniskidmatch.com with “Privacy” in the subject. Explain the request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant enquiry or feedback response. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain available escalation options under the law that applies to you.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
