Lift comparison method · Version 1
One load question, one consistent comparison.
Single load question: the matcher asks for the heaviest load the buyer wants the machine to lift. It compares that answer with an Estimated Conservative Lift Comparison. A plain-language explanation button is provided beside the question so the buyer can review the method before answering. Manufacturer ROC and any clearly labelled Provisional ROC estimate remain visible as supporting reference information, but they do not replace the common lift comparison.
Provisional ROC formula: rated/maximum lift × 90% when documented test conditions are stated, or × 80% when the test basis is unstated; then × 35% for tracked, convertible or unknown undercarriages, or × 50% for wheeled machines. The result is rounded down to the nearest 25 kg. Lifting force, breakout force and hydraulic force are not converted.
Brief low-height lifting: the Conservative Lift Comparison (CLC) uses 65% of tipping load; ROC ÷ its stated percentage × 65%; or ROC ÷ 50% × 65% when the percentage is unstated. A published rated load, operating load, working load, load capacity or non-maximum lift capacity is retained provisionally without a second percentage reduction. An explicit maximum-lift claim uses 90% with documented test conditions or 80% when its test basis is unstated, rounded down to the nearest 50 kg. Where more than one valid basis exists, the lowest is used.
Boundary: both the Provisional ROC and CLC are research estimates only - not manufacturer-rated capacities, guaranteed maximums, safe working loads, load charts, permission to lift, or full-height ratings. Actual capability varies with attachment weight, load position, lift height, reach, configuration, ground and operating conditions. The user must confirm the exact machine's limits with the manufacturer or authorized dealer and follow its operating manual and safety instructions.
Forestry-mulcher screen: the absence of a model-specific attachment listing is not a hard rejection when the machine's published auxiliary flow clears the initial forestry-mulcher planning range. A value within 0.5 L/min of the 40 L/min lower planning figure is treated as a nominal unit-conversion or rounding difference. This initial screen does not prove compatibility; the buyer must confirm the exact attachment's permitted flow and pressure, hot continuous output, cooling, return pressure, case drain, couplers, guarding, mass and written carrier approval.
